Spiritual and appealing, movies about pets and animals are immensely touching. They bring us tears and a sense of deep attachment towards the bond shown between the owners and their pets.

Hachi : A Dog’s Tale

A sensitizing remake of a Japanese movie by the name Hachiko Monogatari; Hachi starring Richard Gere is about a professor Parker Wilkson(Gere) who finds a stray Hachi and forms a deeper bond. Even ten years after the death of Parker, Hachi goes to the station everyday until his death awaiting Parker’s return. The movie shows the loyal, affectionate and deeper bond between Parker and Hachi. The movie is based on a true story.

Marmaduke(2010)

A great Dane(Owen Wilson voiceover), a troublemaker dog, has to leave his cozy life and adjust with different dog personalities at the dog park in California. The movie shows a comic take on the emotions of the great Dane Marmaduke when the family decides to shift to California. Animals talking in movies make for one of the best family movies because they give insights into the mental and emotional-scape of the pets.

Doctor Dolittle (1998)

Doctor Dolittle is based on children’s book and stars Eddie Murphy in the titular role. A compassionate doctor who can listen to animals and understand their emotions. The series shows how an animal doctor solves complicated problems of wild animals by giving a ear to their mental and emotional state. The movie is inspirational because it accrues your love for animals.

How To Train Your Dragon (2010)

A 15-year old feeble Viking son, Hiccup befriends a rare dragon named Toothless and brings the village Berk and dragons to live together peacefully. The movie shows how with love and compassion you can tame the most dangerous and wildest beast. The movie has comic and endearing moments and has life lessons about love and compassion for all living beings.

The Secret Life Of Pets (2016)

An adorable terrier, Max is lost and a Pomeranian named Gidget who is in love with Max forms an army of pets from the neighborhood to find Max. The movie has an interesting role playing where different animals such as a gangster rabbit is shown having his den of abused animals who revolt against loved pets. The movie shows how pet owners with different mindsets end up treating their pets. It shows a touching take on how pets feel and pursue the treatment from different pet owners.
